PATTERN | MERON WAISTCOAT

The MERON waistcoat is knitted in rows from the top down. The shoulder yoke is worked as a saddle shoulder. Then the front parts and the back part are knitted separately and joined again under the armpits. All increases are worked as double increases so that the pattern continues to flow harmoniously. It is knitted double stranded with Merino Baby and Manada. This uncomplicated waistcoat is knitted in Half Fisherman ́s rib stitch and has a nice, long cut with deep armholes. The waistcoat lies loosely on the shoulders and falls along the body with a straight cut.

The sizes correspond to the bust circumference as follows: XS/S (M/L; XL/XXL; 3XL/4XL; 5XL) = 30 -32 (35 - 39; 42 -46; 50 - 54; 58 – 76; 82)“ / 76 - 82 (90 - 98; 107 – 117; 127 - 137; 147) cm breast circumference (measured at your body). The long waistcoat has a relaxed fit and should be worn with a positive ease of 2 – 3.5” (5 – 9 cm). Example: If you have a bust circumference of 35“ (90 cm), you should choose size M/L for a generous positive ease. The waistcoat will have enough room to be layered even over thicker garments. Please note that the waistcoat will stretch a bit with wear.

5 (6; 7; 8; 9) x 50 g (1.76 oz) Pascuali Merino Baby (100 % virgin wool, organic merino) in colour A
5 (6; 7; 9; 10) x 25 g (0.88 oz) Pascuali Manada ( 45% mohair, 25% silk, 15% yak wool, 15% virgin wool) in colour B

US 8 (5 mm) circular needle, 40 – 48” (100 - 120 cm) for the body
US 8 (5 mm) circular needle, 24” (60 cm) for the armhole finishing or needle sizes required to get gauge
