PATTERN | LILIANA CARDIGAN

Elegant cardigan made from a delicate yet fluffy alpaca lace yarn. 

The Liliana cardigan is knitted top down in reversed stockinette stitch with lines of brioche knitting at the shoulders. Increases for the shoulders are done between these lines while the neckline is formed with short rows. The outer five stitches form the front edges. When the shoulder yoke is finished, the body is knitted flat and the three-quarter sleeves are knitted in the round. The cuffs are worked in a two-color brioche. The front edges and the neckline are finished by adding a row of reverse single crochet stitches also known as crab stitches. 

The sizes S (M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL) are designed to fit a chest circumference of 32 (35, 39, 42, 47, 52)"
The cardigan has a snug fit and is worn with a positive ease of about 0 to 3.9".
Example: If you have a bust circumference of 34.6", then knit the cardigan in size S and it will fit tight with a positive ease of about 1". For a looser fit, choose the next size.

You need:

2 (3, 3, 4, 4) x 50 g  (437 yds) Pascuali Alpaca Lace (100 % alpaca) in colour A
1 x 50 g  (437 yds) Pascuali Alpaca Lace (100 % alpaca) in colour B
Colours of the pictured sample:
Colour A = Colour 27
Colour B = Colour 01

US 2 (2,75 mm) circular needle, 32" (80 cm) for the body
US 2 (2,75 mm) circular needle, 16" (80 cm) or US 2 (2,75 mm) dpns for the sleeves
1.5 mm crochet hook for front edges and neckline
Stitch markers
Tapestry needle, scissors
