PATTERN | WENU BALACLAVA

The WENU balaclava is worked bottom up in rounds in chunky Brioche pattern. For the face opening, stitches are bound off and cast on again. WENU is worked with one strand of Balayage held together with two strands of Manada throughout. The cuddly soft balaclava hat sits rather loosely.

One size: head circumference = 22 - 23.6” (56 – 60 cm)

You need:

2 x 50 g (1.76 oz) Pascuali Balayage (80 % alpaca wool, 20 % virgin wool) in colour A
2 x 25 g (0.88 oz) Pascuali Manada ( 45% mohair, 25% silk, 15 % yak wool, 15 % virgin wool) in colour B
Colours of the pictured sample: colour A = #617 (Ishinca), colour B = #204 (Nature)

US10.75 (7 mm) circular needle, 16-24” (40 - 60 cm)
US10.75 (7 mm) DPNs or needle sizes required to get gauge
Stitch marker
Stitch holder or waste yarn
Tapestry needle and scissors
