PATTERN | PALJA BLOUSE

The PALJA blouse is about going back to basics: a box-cut, short sleeve blouse knitted top down in stockinette stitch. Increases are evenly distributed over the round yoke for the shoulders, with a slit worked into the front for the neckline. The collar is knitted on afterwards and folded outwards. For this, the stitches from the cast-on row are picked up from the inside, more at the front than at the back, to create a nice curve.

The sizes correspond to the bust circumference as follows: (XS; S; M) (L; XL; XXL) (3XL; 4XL; 5XL) = (30; 32; 35) (39; 42; 46) (50; 54; 58)” / (76; 82; 90) (98; 107; 117) (127; 137; 147) cm breast circumference (measured at the body). The blouse has a relaxed fit and should be worn with positive ease.Example: If you have a bust circumference of 35”(90 cm), you should choose size M for a positive ease of 4”(10 cm).

US4 (3.5 mm) circular needle, 32 – 48” for the body
US4 (3.5 mm) circular needle, 16” (40 cm) or DPNs for the sleeves
US2.5 (3 mm) circular needle, 24” (60 cm), for the collar or needle sizes required to get gauge
stitch markers
Stitch holders or waste yarn
Tapestry needle and scissors
