For quite some time, the Pascuali collection shied away from fluffiness. But a few years back, we took the plunge with Manada, a uniquely cuddly blend with a touch of mohair.
And then came Mohair Bliss – a truly delightful fusion of mohair and silk that lives up to its name: "Bliss" means nothing less than pure joy or delight. And indeed, you can feel it when you cradle those delicate 25g skeins in your hand. And even more so when you start knitting with them!
Mohair Bliss is made with 60 % silky Angora goat fleece and 40 % mulberry silk.
In order to achieve unparalleled softness, we use Superkid Mohair fibers, harvested from the youngest Angora goats for their unmatched fineness. Teamed with silk, they create an absolute dream yarn: oft, fluffy, and delicately enchanting. A ball of Mohair Bliss almost feels like a fluffy little cloud.

The mohair fibers used in Mohair Bliss are certified under the Responsible Mohair Standard (R.M.S). This standard sets forth the best practices: Animal welfare and humane husbandry are top priorities. But it doesn't end there; sustainable land management to preserve biodiversity and protect the environment, as well as fair working conditions, are also key considerations.
Mohair Bliss is lovingly produced in South Africa, where the fibers are sourced and then processed alongside Chinese mulberry silk. Unlike many other mohair yarns on the market, Mohair Bliss isn't coated with silicone.
Now, onto the knitting!
Each delicate 25-gram ball boasts a generous 328 yds (300 meters of yarn. The softness and delicate sheen of Mohair Bliss are truly delightful. Recommended needle sizes range between 2 and 8 US (3 and 5 mm): Mohair Bliss can be knitted single or multiple strands and is perfect as a carry-along yarn.
Despite its fluffy nature, it's remarkably easy to knit with. While lesser-quality mohair yarns might cause a bit of snagging, Mohair Bliss glides effortlessly over the needles and through your fingers. Knitting Mohair Bliss single-stranded with a thinner needle won't make for lightning-fast progress, but it'll be worth it. Double-stranded with a thicker needle, on the other hand, speeds things up considerably. The resulting fabric is a dream! Delicate yet sumptuous, and oh-so-cuddly!
Mohair Bliss - Pinta / Mohair Bliss - Puno
It immediately brings to mind the "Cumulus" patterns by Petite Knit – Mohair Bliss would be the perfect yarn for those lightweight sweaters.
For those seeking a more structured and closed fabric, Mohair Bliss can be used as a carry-along yarn: Ideal partners in this case are Pinta and Puno or Puno Winikunka. Both combinations yield wonderfully soft, lightweight knitted pieces. With its extensive palette of 30 different shades, Mohair Bliss as a carry-along yarn allows for delicate tone-on-tone combinations as well as playful color contrasts. Whether used alone or in combination – Mohair Bliss always shines.
Single-stranded for delicate shawls or tops, double or even triple-stranded for sweaters that are both light and cozy, or paired with other yarns from the Pascuali range: this lace-like yarn is versatile for (almost) any project.
A beautiful cardigan made with Mohair Bliss and Puno is Yolda, for example. Mohair Bliss paired with Pinta creates a stunning interplay in the Naledi shawl.
And here's a fun fact: Mohair Bliss hardly pills at all. The stitch pattern remains wonderfully fluffy and doesn't felt. After wearing, simply give your knitted piece a shake and let it air out occasionally. Like most woolen items, Mohair Bliss pieces don't require frequent washing.
